[Un]Intelligence: The Book

I’m working on a new book! Want to know when it’s ready?

Join my email list, and you’ll be first to know when my new book is ready. Plus, you’ll get a free PDF with four short takeaways from the new book. I promise to treat your email address like I’d want mine to be treated and only share meaningful, encouraging updates roughly once a month.

About the Book

How can you thrive in an AI chatbot-infused age?

“Artificial Intelligence” conjures diverse feelings. Fear. Excitement. Doom. Potential. Confusion. Will we lose our jobs? Can we use AI for good? Most importantly, does the Bible have anything to say about today’s AI?

Building on the insights from his award-winning book, [Un]Intentional, Doug Smith dispels the confusion around today’s AI with the biblical wisdom our families, careers, and ministries need.

[Un]Intelligence will inspire you with confidence over fear and discernment over hype to help you thrive in your God-given creativity.

About the Author

Doug Smith keeps getting invited by popular media personalities, news organizations, universities, churches, and international ministries to share his inspiring, unique way of engaging today’s AI. His insights are forged by decades of software engineering experience and a lifetime of Bible study. He’s the author of the award-winning [Un]Intentional: How Screens Secretly Shape Your Desires, and How You Can Break Free. Doug is gratefully married to fellow author, Lyneta, and is blessed with four wonderful daughters.

About the “[Un]”

In my last book, [Un]Intentional, I encouraged us to push against what I called the “intentionality imbalance.” Big Tech is more intentional with our time and attention than we are, and that book helps us flip the imbalance back in our favor through timeless biblical practices.

My new book will build on the [un]-removing patterns we pioneered in the last book. Big Tech is making products that appear to be intelligent, but are they? Not at all. True intelligence is much greater than any machine will ever be able to achieve. [Un]Intelligence will help us flip the “intelligence imbalance” and lead us to thrive in our God-given gifts of true intelligence, discernment, wisdom, and creativity.
